Sevier County High School is being turned into a literal and practical temporary prison for its students and staff alike. Dr. Mitchell Whaley, whom was appointed as principal just this year, has taken to the point of instating technical corporal punishment, which is prohibited by the Geneva Conventions, for several students just messing around and using his public image on Photoshop. For that, he has requested all phones be taken on sight whether students have them in the halls or in the commons area (cafeteria). 

I have heard from dozens of outside sources as well that this excuse of a leader has suspended one student for three days for having an earbud in while walking the hall, dress-coded another for a shirt that said "Cookies," and is planning to remove any prior sense of true self from his students and staff. 

Homecoming has also been cancelled until further notice, as well as other typical high school events. All of this for the sake of making your school focus on academics.. Instead of taking away any freedom that this generation has now, let's make the change that the teens nowadays need.
