Remove Boundaries for OMHA Lambeth Competitive Kids Hockey

Remove Boundaries for OMHA Lambeth Competitive Kids Hockey
The Issue
As parents of young hockey players in Lambeth, we are deeply concerned about the current limitations placed on our children by outdated boundaries. Our kids are not provided 'equal opportunity' through Lambeth Minor Hockey anymore and the board needs to cease operation of competitive boys hockey immediately. This is a personal issue for us as it directly affects our children's ability to grow and develop in their chosen sport.
The existing boundary system, which has been in place for over 30 years, restricts our children's options and hinders their development. It prevents them from signing up with teams in London. NRP options (3) per team are available in Mount Brydges or St.Thomas but limits the potential of being split up from friends. Playing here they could have access to better resources and opportunities.
By removing these boundaries effective April 12th, we would be providing our kids with equal access to competitive hockey alongside their friends, neighbours and classmates. This change would also allow more players a chance to play competitive hockey without the need for the NRP system.
Moreover, this change would enable our kids from U10 upwards in single age groups (not double year) to try out for AAA, AA or A teams in London or A teams in Mount Brydges and St.Thomas - broadening their horizons significantly.
We believe that every child should have an equal opportunity when it comes to sports development. We urge you all who care about youth sports development especially within London ON Canada and Lambeth; let's make this change happen! Sign this petition today!
