My husband had a really nasty accident on this road on 28th December 2017 whilst riding his cycle along this stretch of road whilst travelling from Sheerness towards Sittingbourne . It was only because of the quick reaction of an unknown transporter driver who realised that the cycle wheel had gone down the centre of the railway track and was able to brake and avoid hitting my husband, which would have resulted in a more serious outcome and perhaps a fatality.
This railway track has not been used for many years since the closure of the steel works, and possibly before that time. These tracks need to be removed urgently and the road resurfaced thus making the road much safer and to possibly avoid any further accidents which may result in a major incident at some time in the future, which I am sure we would all wish to avoid.
Please support this petition and contact the MP, Gordon Henderson, for his assistance in this regard.which I am sure he will be pleased to provide.
