From 1943-1945, Fawcett Comics published a multi-issue storyline featuring the first occurance of a superhero's enemies teaming up. This classic comic book story arc was "Monster Society of Evil". Despite the story's historical significance to the comic book medium, as well as the storyline's superb art and writing, it has only been officially reprinted and collected once (in an expensive and rare out of print hardcover). To make matters worse, DC Comics (the current owners of Fawcett Comics' stable of characters and publications) has twice announced and then cancelled official collections of the story due to outdated racist depictions within the story. Yet, DC has reprinted the Golden Age comic book adventures of Blackhawk, Wonder Woman and The Spirit, which have all included racial stereotypes and caricatures, by providing a warning of the content and a foreward putting it into context. Why can the same not be done for such a significant and highly influential storyline as this?

Therefore, DC Comics should officially reprint the complete "The Monster Society of Evil" story arc and give allow comic book fans a chance to read a storyline which paved the way for the comic book industry today.
