Montclair State has not made any changes to their mask policy even in light of CDC guidelines. Almost every other public and private University in New Jersey, if not all, and around the country has relaxed policies, but Montclair won’t budge. In practical terms, COVID-19 poses almost zero threat to the Montclair State community, yet the administration keeps a policy in place that ensures the virus is on people's minds every day. As a public University, Montclair State should follow every other NJ college in modifying their mask requirements.

If not now, when? If we don’t have to wear a mask anywhere off-campus, why should we continue to wear them on campus?
