The highest 7 day average of Covid-19 cases in Karnataka in the last month was 237 cases. The seven day average as of now is 67 cases. 

PGs' are still restricting movement regardless of the low numbers. The intensity of restrictions remain the same from the previous peaks. 

We've spent 6 months continuously on campus (ignoring winter break) for the first time and for all of that time we were and are not allowed to bring any of our friends in. This arbitrary enforcement of rules is causing a lot of needless mental stress. 

I call it arbitrary because even after requesting for respite, PG owners seem to argue with the same reasoning as during the peaks. From the perspective of students who have not been allowed to socialize in their only available private spaces in the city, it is tyrannous and takes an angle of us being victims of moral policing.

We request the college administration to mediate with the PG owners and grant respite for student movement inside PGs.
