Reject provision for accessory dwelling inclusion in the Virginia Highland Master Plan.

This petition made change with 51 supporters!

Two things make Atlanta an attractive and livable city -- its mature trees and its historic residential neighborhoods, including Virginia-Highland.  To allow and encourage the proliferation of live-in "accessory dwellings" will result in the removal of trees before, during and after construction.  It will also dramatically change the single-family residential character of the neighborhood while increasing traffic and parking problems.  The proposal is a solution searching for a problem.  It needs to be rejected and removed from the Master Plan.

The Master Plan description for Accessory Dwellings is on page 133, section 3.10.  Please sign this petition to remove this section from the Master Plan.  Also, make comments on the Master Plan website www.VaHiMasterplan.org/master-plan-first-draft.html
