Due to the growing Mental Health Crisis and changed circumstances, I am requesting a Moratorium on the decision to phase out combined University and Industry Training (4+2) for Psychologists (the last student intake was 30/06/2022).

I believe there needs to be an independent cost benefit analysis done by an independent party and some evidence finally forthcoming that Combined University and Industry Training (4+2) does, or does not, provide better or very similar treatment outcomes for the public.

I predict fully monopolised training by just Universities alone will inevitably lead to higher course fee costs, fewer training places, already unsubstantiated longer training times for students with no cost benefit analysis and/or taxpayers having to finance the resultant shortfall in training places.
