The X16 service was a quick, regular and busy service which Stagecoach decided to abruptly end during the summer with no action being taken to reinstate the service despite this being one of two options to get to Ayr. This service was predominantly used by students travelling to both the college and university campus within the town. This service meant that students didn't have far to walk between the bus stop on both campuses which meant it was a lot safer than walking through Ayr high street and waiting in Ayr Bus Station which at times can be unsafe for members of the public. With the only remaining service being the number 4 which doesn't run as regular and is extremely unreliable as they seem to be cancelled quite frequently meaning having to wait hours for another bus or finding another way home. I took me 3 hours to get home, which is why I'm trying to get Stagecoach to listen and reinstate the X16 service or run a regular bus at peak times.
