Nascent Information Technology Employees Senate – (NITES) is working for welfare, rights and benefits of IT/ITES and its related sector employees. Founded by a group of IT Employees we are focused and working on various issues faced by IT/ITeS/BPO/KPO Employees. So far Nascent Information Technology Employees Senate – NITES have raised issues of more than 78000 employees and have filed petitions in Labour Departments and District Magistrate against illegal terminations, Reduction in wages, forceful resignation, deduction of earned leaves, forcing employees to apply leaves as vacation, Maternity Benefits & various other issues under COVID19 pandemic. Several companies across Maharashtra have started to terminate its employees without any reasonable cause and have started withholding their salaries. In such testing times, the rights of the employees are ought to be protected by necessary orders and directions to the companies by appropriate authorities as prospects of several employees of the country are under dilemma. These companies have donated crores of rupees to CM & PM care funds but have denied jobs and salaries to hardworking employees.

A lot of IT/ITeS/BPO/KPO Companies in the Maharashtra State have initiated a drive of illegal mass termination of the employees, withholding of the salaries or illegal deduction of salaries in complete breach and violation of the directions & advisories issued by Central Government &  Maharashtra State Government. The employers who are in dominant position are taking harsh decisions and unconscionable bargains with the employees. The employees are in no way responsible for the present pandemic lock down situation, but are at the receiving end. In the presence of binding orders to the private companies by Maharashtra Government, thousands of employees are losing their jobs & income daily, which will lead to an unprecedented economic situation – a situation that the employees cannot afford. Salaries of several employees have also been withheld and deducted without any basis. Most of the IT employees who stay away from their family are finding it difficult to even pay monthly rents, EMIs, manages daily expenses and other liabilities. Also no procedure like notice period, intimation to government authorities, payment of retrenchment compensation, payment of gratuity, Leave encashment, etc. has been undertaken by the Companies leading to a lot of unfair labour practices.

Hence through this petition we are seeking Government's orders to save the jobs and salaries of hardworking IT/ITeS/BPO/KPO employees in Maharashtra. We humbly request you to sign this petition to save life, jobs and families of more than 6 lakh IT/ITeS/BPO/KPO employees in Maharashtra. Your one signature can save one family.

Thanks & Regards,

Harpreet Saluja (President)
