Freedom Of The Press- Jim Acosta, CNN reporter had his press credentials revoked last night. Protecting a free press is necessary for a healthy democracy. Such actions erode our democracy, help protect it by protecting the rights of the press.

The White House Correspondents' Association (WHCA), which advocates for the press corps, issued a statement soon after Acosta was denied entry, calling the revocation of his access "unacceptable."
"Journalists may use a range of approaches to carry out their jobs and the WHCA does not police the tone or frequency of the questions its members ask of powerful senior government officials, including the President," the association said. "Such interactions, however uncomfortable they may appear to be, help define the strength of our national institutions. We urge the White House to immediately reverse this weak and misguided action."

No matter how you voted in the mid term elections, this is a non-partisan issue. It is the First Amendment of our constitution. "The transparency that journalism brings to events makes government work better, decreases the risk of corruption and ultimately makes our nation safer."* We have an administration that is systematically changing our nation, we have to act, we have to become involved, we have to object. We have to exercise our rights as citizen's and insist that our elected leaders uphold the law as they are sworn to do.

Please sign this petition to protect the Freedom Of The Press!
