Coach Monk has been stepped down as of today June 2nd 2022, as the head coach of this upcoming fall AAYSA Head Coach position. This was done with no notice to either the coaches or parents and happens to be one day after the registration has closed. Many parents signed their child up specifically to be under Coach Monk's leadership. 

For the past two years Coach Monk has led two successful football teams. His AAYSA team finished 2nd place in the 2020 season and made it to the second round of the playoffs in 2021. His training guidelines come directly from USA football with safety and fun in mind for the players. His hands on approach and relentless drive to improve our young players, keep them safe and communicate to the parents is second to none. For the last year he has been educating the community about sign up dates, training opportunities and is in full support of growing our AAYSA youth program. He has also recruited a top notch staff of educated and committed coaches with a waitlist of individuals wanting to assist. He should be commended not stepped down.

In the summer of 2021, Coach Monk organized and led an all volunteer staff for a free community speed, agility and quickness camp. This took place 3 nights a week in the month of June. He has donated equipment, worked on the maintenance of the fields and organized the field house. He was notified also that this year's upcoming free summer SAQ camp is now canceled.  

We are asking you to sign this petition to reinstate Coach Monk as the head coach of 2022 AAYSA 5th grade football. Signing will not affect your AAYSA enrollment in this year's football season.
