Reinstate access to Florence Park tennis courts

Double Yellow Lines were added on Rymers Lane OX4 by Oxfordshire County Council, with little or no notice, in March  2022. 

This has hugely impacted the ability of people to access the floodlit tennis courts in Florence Park.  Equitable, safe access to spaces that are good for physical and mental well-being is an absolute priority for all of us, and the Florence Park tennis courts are great value, outstanding facilities to enable this.

However, park tennis players and others are increasingly concerned about how the Double Yellow Lines impact safe access to Florence Park, especially now as the nights draw in and the park gates are shut earlier and earlier. There is a concern for everyone, particularly those who consider themselves vulnerable when walking alone in the dark back to their cars that now have to be parked a long way away.
