I am a regular user of the swimming pools and cafe at The Bathing Pools in Guernsey. Recently, changes to parking regulations have made it difficult for many to enjoy these amenities. The removal of 2-hour parking zones and reverting to 10 hour spaces, has significantly reduced the availability of parking, causing inconvenience for swimmers and visitors to the cafe alike.

The Bathing Pools are a vibrant community hub, with increased users wanting to access these great public facilities, more so in the winter, as these pools are a safer space to swim. The Bathing Pools are a social gathering point, that fosters  community spirit. However, without adequate parking facilities, people are finding it increasingly challenging to access these amenities and meet friends.

Reinstating 2-hour parking zones would alleviate this issue by providing ample time for people to enjoy their visit. 

We urge the The States' Traffic & Highway Services - to reconsider this decision and reinstate 2-hour parking zones for the benefit of all users like myself who rely on these facilities regularly.
