My name is Lucie Schwartz and I am speaking in honor of my good friends Regina Dennison and Jacie Tottleben former captains of Visitation Academy JV2 basketball. Founded in 2020, to say the JV2 team met every expectation of greatness would be an understatement. Although they had a completely defeated season going 0-10 there were many close calls. In the first game, they were met with their hardest opponent, Oakville. They lost 60-4, but it was all up from there. Through hard work, dedication, and many prayers from Mr. Cogan's pre-calc class they were able to start making some progress. The last game of the season was their closest game ever and quite a nail-biter, a 2-point defeat against Hazelwood where captain Jacie Tottleben missed a buzzer-beater layup. Last year due to issues with resources, JV2 basketball was terminated, this was a true tragedy and the program has yet to recover. Regina Dennison and Jacie Tottleben have put blood, sweat, and tears into this program and their last wish is to have JV2 make a comeback their senior season. So please help in making Gina's dying wish of having Viz get its first JV2 basketball win ever possible.
