Hi my name is Lucy and I live in mount hawke with my partner children and pets. 
2 years ago 1 neighbour reported my cockerel saying he was loud he was never out before lunch time and always went to bed way before the foxes were around. 
I started another petition had 400 signatures sent to the environmental team and got a email saying that the case had been closed and nowhere stated that there was a policy stating no cockerels. Everything was closed I spoke to my housing officer at the time and she said there was no issues and nothing was to be done. On the 1st June I had an unannounced visit from the housing officer while taking pictures and saying that they told me to rehome the cockerel 2 years ago no they didn’t they also said while here they have no noise whatsoever for over an hour and would go back and record that. They apparently have recordings and pictures of the chickens in the garden but we have not seen any proof of it to say it’s our chickens or not the sound could be any chicken anywhere anyone can ring and make a complaint on his behalf then added saying that a new policy for pets came in and that I had now to rehome them. I waited 5 weeks to get any reply back from them when I did  on the letter gave me 7 days to rehome them by the time the letter reached me on a Friday there was nothing I could do over the weekend so then had four days to rehome them. Some conditions of my tenancy was printed on back of letter but no cockerel or duck policy and now having to rehome my chickens and ducks who I love dearly there was no where stated that I could appeal. I have received an email yesterday stating that because I had made numerous calls and email to try to see what was going on she said don’t reply to her email and to make all comments emails through the main email. Our hens cockerel and 2 ducks are a massive massive part of our lives and we are all heartbroken I dont see having a new policy would affect the policy I was keeping to and adhere too on my old tenancy and using to policy that was before the new one 2021 and had all my chickens and ducks before them. Please please sign our petition and help out a family who has nowhere to turn to. Thank you
