Regulating climate change information in the media

Climate Change has and will affect everyone. Scientific evidence shows there is no longer debate on the impact that human activity has on global warming. But there are solutions and these solutions are not reaching the public. The best way for this call to action to reach the public is through mass media. Unfortunately there is no control over what gets shared or discussed in regards to climate change and most information is misleading, hard to understand, or flat out false. Individuals and organizations should not have the power to decide what information is shared based off of personal and monetary gain, which tends to be the leading factor in determining what information reaches the public. For the good of the citizens of this country the government must step in and introduce regulations ensuring that climate science is being promoted accurately, is accessible to everyone, and inspires action toward doing their part in slowing global warming. The government needs to know that this is what we want and need so that they may put it in legislation. This isn't an issue that doesn't apply to you. It concerns you, your loved ones, friends, coworkers, neighbors. Together we must do what it takes to save our planet and its people.
