I made this petition to make people aware of the devastation unregulated private campgrounds are having on Wisconsin's Natural Resources.  This issue affects all Wisconsinites, especially those residents living around the beautiful lakes in the state. 

People are buying, or already own, residential property around the small lakes of Wisconsin and turning them into campsites, advertising through "Hip Camp" and other online sources.  This is creating tourist overpopulation and commercialism on these pristine lakes, while destroying the beauty, serenity, flora, and fauna of Wisconsin's lakes in the process.  We need regulation of privately owned, residential area campsites through the State of Wisconsin and through the Wisconsin DNR to protect Wisconsin's Natural Resources.
