In less than an hour MTC students began articulating sensible and heartfelt arguments in opposition to a new policy Naropa is instituting.   This new policy will take away our ability to directly register for courses.  Instead, we will meet with an advisor and work out an approved schedule. 

Curating a schedule is nuanced, and these are some of our concerns: 

Will our chances of attending course sections improve with the policy change?

What if we have a meeting with an advisor and the instructor is not listed of the course yet?

Many students are already writing responses to the MTC-wide email with valid concerns that our advisors may not be able to make preference alterations to schedules in a timely manner.  This will greatly impact our chances of being in the courses of our choice.

Let's join in a unanimous voice to the administration!  Let's maintain and/or step into agency and advocate for our right to choose.
