Prestwich Arts College is set to be Forced into becoming an academy on the 1st May 2020.

This is highly inappropriate. There is a Global Health Crisis that needs to be handled first. This is not the time to force Prestwich Arts College into becoming an academy.

The irreversible process must be carried out correctly there for we are suggesting a Conversion date of 1st December 2020.

Students don’t know when they’ll return to there classrooms - Those sitting GCSE examinations don’t know when/if they’ll sit them.

Staff will already be facing huge levels of stress as they don’t know when they can go back to the classroom and are doing there best to keep pupils safe and to make sure they have the work they need.

Now isn’t the time to force Prestwich Arts College into an academy. Halt the process now!
