Regional governance and regional constitutions in Nigeria
Regional governance and regional constitutions in Nigeria
This is not to breakup Nigeria rather, address our different societal values and expectations. Regional governance happened successfully in the early 60s until the first military coup. Each region will maintain their resources, security, education, health, infrastructure and economy but pay tax to the central government.
Regional governance is devolution of power to the regions and they can progress and develop according to their efforts.
Regional governance does not mean repatriation of non indigens. Anyone can live anywhere but they must obey their regional constitution.
This opportunity of new regional constitutions allows regions to focus on challenges peculiar to their areas.
Regional governance is the last hope for Nigeria otherwise she is heading for a free fall from her sky.
Let's go regional governance.
