School should be a loving accepting place for everyone. Statistically LGBTQ2 teens have a higher rate of being the victims of bullying and suicide. Every child and teen has a right to feel safe at school.

My daughter is trans and needs to feel safe in school it's not just about the flag for us it's about the teachers and kids learning about it and not being scared about it and to let other children know they can have a safe place to talk and understand what the LGBTQ means and they them selfs may be feeling things and are scared to talk about it at home
Aslo I'm not from moosejaw dont know how to change it

I’m signing because when I was in high school some 15+ years ago, I heard from many peers of a similar age that GSAs were not allowed at many Saskatchewan public schools because “it would interfere with prayer groups”. Prayer groups have buildings and an entire day... the Sabbath. I fully respect that. So at what point is that respect mutual in the public sphere? To think in 2019 I now have children about to enter high school and the same attitudes persist is demoralizing as a parent, and our children deserve better than the leadership they are currently receiving in Ms. Gagne.
