Regenerate Lancaster Skatepark

Regenerate Lancaster Skatepark
Why this petition matters
We are users, members of the community, and supporters of Lancaster Skatepark.
We are calling on local government, and the community to support the regeneration of the skatepark.
Built in 2003, it has seen no investment or improvement since. Skateparks are essential to support wellbeing. They are vital places of creativity and physical exercise.
in 2020, the local MP supported calls for investment into the skatepark. We welcome this call and want to work constructively to help regenerate the park.

We support the introduction of new facilities adjacent to the existing site of the former Green-Ayre railway station.
This could include (but is not limited to): A new concrete halfpipe/mini-ramp, new street sections (manual pad, rails, banks), lighting, solar panels, recycling bins, and designated graffiti walls. We would welcome a covered skatepark to be sheltered from the weather - which could be under an existing bridge.
We hope you can support this campaign by signing the petition and supporting any future fundraising efforts.
