 Subject:- Acceptance of internship of foreign Medical graduates related to "NMC Gazette Nov.2021 & its notice released by Maharashtra medical council.

Respected Madam/Sir,

Ref - National Medical Commission Public Notice dated 25/08/22.

We Foreign Medical Graduates Students passed FMGE Dec 2021 Session. After receiving Pass Certificate, we have made application to Maharashtra Medical Council (MMC) for Provisional Registration, for which we have given all required documents along with NOC from the hospital we intended to practice in l.e.(KEM,Ruby,Jehangir, Thane civil, Nashik civil, Amravati civil, Nanavati,Jaslok, Miraj Mission, Buldhana civil,Aundh civil hospitals,etc) we got successful approval of this application, We were granted provisional registration accordingly on and started my 12 month internship in respective hospitals of Maharashtra. In July 2022, a notice came out from MMC stating that there is a new list of hospitals in which we are allowed to do internship, but as it did not mention who it was applicable for, we all interns from the mentioned hospitals continued our internship as allowed by MMC by granting provisional registration in March 2022. It has now come to our attention that NMC will not approve of this internship as Our respective Hospitals are not part of the new list that was only made available to us in July 2022 through MMC's notice. Also there is a guideline by NMC stating UG Students who are graduated before 18 Nov 2021 for them this will be not applicable.

 This would mean that the 8 months of internship that we have completed would go to waste, as is the situation of hundreds of fellow FMGs who are in a similar situation.

So as to not have to repeat the duration that we have completed, please look into this matter and help us by validating the period of internship that we have completed, as Haryana Medical Council has also stated in their notice dated 06/10/2022.

Please either let us complete our 12 month internship in the said previously approved hospital, or allow us to carry forward the 8 months and only do the remaining portion in the newly assigned hospital as per MMC's discretion. This is a matter of grave importance as our future careers as doctors in India is at stake. We have been faithful towards the government institutions following all known regulations and wish to do the same in the future. Please help us out in this regard to start the Indian Doctor workforce soon and help the needy. Thank you and look forward to a positive response.
