Reforming the United States Constitution to Reflect Modern Society
Why this petition matters
It is commonly accepted knowledge that governments often do not make decisions that best represent the interests of their people. Governments are consistently caught in lies. Not just the American government. It seems to be in the nature of governments. However, one thing separates the United States from most other countries in the world. Our constitution is a document that tells our government what it is entitled to do, rather than the government telling us what our privileges are. More power should be held by the people and their respective states than in the hands of the federal government. Despite this, federal government has time and time again proven itself to be not only tyrannical, but also to be working against the best interests of the American people, regardless of their race, gender, or political alignment. We are all lied to and deceived with false narratives and empty promises. It is time we stop feeding into the propaganda of these career politicians, not only to force a complete reformation of our constitution, but to push career politicians out of power. Together, we can create strict term limits for local and state government seats. We can forge a document that better represents our current needs as a modern society, and we can ensure that our voices are truly being heard and represented. Not by political parties who serve two sides of the same coin, but by those who truly represent the interests of the people. By signing this document, you are standing with us in saying to the government. This is our country. You work for us, and despite your best efforts to divide us, we will stand together in the face of adversity to take back the power originally vested in us by our founding fathers.
