The Student Code of Conduct states that if an individual is to have two offenses with drug related incidents that they are to be expelled. This is not the case for literally any other offense (including assault, alcohol related crimes, sexual misconduct, etc.), which is very unfair. This petition is to raise awareness about the unequal penalties regarding drug related crimes. Marijuana is on the track to be not only decriminalized but also legalized in the state of Texas. By signing this petition you are supporting students in changing the Student Code of Conduct to remove the deferred expulsion penalty.
