Reform Megan's Law, Require ALL Sex Offenders to Register!

Proverbs 31:8 "Speak up for those that cannot speak for themselves".

As a child I had no voice, but now as an adult I do, and so do you.

As a 7 year survivor of child sex abuse by a 4 time convicted sex offender who didn't have to register, it is time to speak out!... I'm not only a survivor, but I'm also a parent, probably just like you.

But, did you know that Megan's Law varies from state to state on what year convicted sex offenders must register!??... That's right.  ONLY sex offenders that committied their crimes after 1996 have to register, BUT NOT BEFORE!!... So that means their could be a sex offender living right down the street from you, a teacher at your child's school, or as in my very own instance growing up, in my home!... So please, SPEAK OUT, SPEAK UP, and SPEAK NOW! ....A child out there may be needing you to do so. Every 2 minutes someone in the U.S. is sexually assaulted.   Please help by signing this petition to help propose and pass new legislation to Megan's Law requiring that ALL sex offenders must register, regardless of their date of conviction. This is not an "attack against offenders" but as a citizens and parents we have a right to know who is in our communities... It could just save a child's life and innocence... it would have mine and it would have countless others.

Unfortunatley, it took for Megan Kanka's precious life to end tragically at the age of 7 before it took Congress to act. Can we please pass a law without the cost of another precious child's life!?

To help make a difference sign this petition and help spread the word!

Letter to
U.S. House of Representatives
U.S. Senate
President of the United States
I just signed the following petition addressed to: All Americans : Help Stop Child Sex Abuse!!

I think that there should be a change in Megan's Law requiring that ALL sex offenders have to matter their date of conviction. Why? Because as a parent and a citizen I have a right to know who may be teaching my child in school, who is living down my street, or who I may be sending my child off to day care with. This is not an "attack against sex offenders". Just we as citizens and parents should have the right to know who is in our communities, churches, and schools that have been convicted of sex crimes...especially ones involving children! So please, make a change to Megan's law and require ALL offenders to register.

A child is out there waiting for you to act.
