My best friends, diligent students at Eau Gallie High School, are on the brink of expulsion or suspension for a single instance of tardiness. Despite arriving in time for their next class, they face severe punishment. This is just one example of the unfair disciplinary policies that plague our school system.

Eau Gallie High School's current administration has shown a consistent pattern of unjust practices. Students are penalized excessively for minor infractions while serious issues often go unaddressed. This imbalance not only disrupts students' education but also fosters an environment where corruption can thrive.

According to the National Education Association, fair disciplinary policies contribute significantly to a positive learning environment and student success. Yet, our school seems to be falling short in this regard.

We call on the Brevard Public Schools Board in Melbourne, FL to conduct an impartial review of Eau Gallie High School's disciplinary policies and its administration. We demand fairness and justice for all students regardless of their infractions.
