Cabell County school has been caring more about funding rather than the students that they teach. They don't listen to their Students or the Guardians of the Students. Cabell county has been hit extremely hard by COVID-19 and Varients of COVID-19. Along with the Global Pandemic, Cabell County Schools is trying to enforce Policies on the Students that shouldn't even deal with; for example, Students cannot wear Pajama pants. "Pajama pants" is an extremely vague term and can be used against students who are wearing sweatpants that look like Pajama Pants. Another extremist Policy that is trying to be enforced is hand-holding. Higher schoolers shouldn't have to deal with being punished for holding hands, It's not harming anyone. Finals are also something that should exist during the time of COVID-19. Students, Guardians, and teachers alike should have to worry about their family's not making a final that students would be stressing about. Another example of Policy is that students cannot have their phones during lunch, well students cannot have phones at all, not even during emergencies during these dark times in the world. Students and teachers are extremely unpleased with how covid is being handled. Students don't even need to stay at home if they have been exposed to covid, they don't even get told if they are exposed. The Guardians of the student are told, this should be told to the student as well as they are the ones exposed to covid. With other coming variants of covid being spread and not knowing if the Vaccine can protect against these new, deadlier variants. Students and Guardians are left in the dark when it comes to almost anything. Very vague pre-recorded messages are sent out in mass, without much context. Cabell County Schools needs to look at and reform their policies instead of focusing on money.
