Why this petition matters
Started by Jeremiah Alhassan
Approximately 58 men and women in New Jersey are languishing in a jail cell for a crime they did not commit, according to the Last Resort Exoneration Project at Seton Hall School of Law. For example, Nijeer Parks was arrested after a facial recognition program failed to correctly identify a perpetrator.
Sign a petition to hopefully bring awareness to the lack of acknowledgement of the appellate process for the wrongly incarcerated citizens of New Jersey, in order to speed up the process for them in the instance that there is possible evidence to clear their name.
