The Juniors Kingsford pool is used by many different groups (including competitive squad swimmers, learn to swim kids, aqua aerobics, casual swimmers etc).  Currently the pool temperature is 30.8 degrees Celsius, being an indoor pool with no opening windows this would feel about 2 degrees warmer.   

Squad Training in pools that have temperatures greater than 30 degrees celsius can cause nausea, headaches and dehydration which could lead to heat stroke, heart arrhythmia and other ongoing health problems.  The squad program also has many younger children, which have not developed a proper mechanism for heat regulation and would have an increased potential for health issues and heat stroke. 

I realise there are other groups that use the swimming pool, multiple published research shows that swimming training should have pool temperatures between 27-29 and learn to swim groups between 28-31.  I believe a healthy compromise would be 28 degrees

I would like support to reduce the temperature of the pool to 28-29 degrees.
