Highway 3 runs through Kitchener, BC and the posted speed limit is currently 100 kph. The highway through the community is both on a hill and a curve and there are four access points to the highway. The hill and the curve create a lack of  visibility to enter and exit the highway. This is especially dangerous given the fact that most people are exceeding the posted speed limit. Probably the most dangerous is trying to make a left hand turn onto the highway from the west end of Kitchener Road, visibility there is impacted by the hill from both directions. West-bound traffic cannot see the vehicle entering the highway and the vehicle attempting to enter the highway cannot see oncoming traffic until the last moment. The situation is similar at Leadville Road. 

The current situation has contributed to accidents, near-misses and road rage events. 

Reducing the speed limit to 80 kph on this stretch of highway would slow traffic down a bit and give both, people attempting to access the highway and highway traffic enough time to see each other and make that area safer for all concerned.
