Reduce the Speed Limit on Rake Lane, Moor Lane & Duckers Lane, Hawarden

Reduce the Speed Limit on Rake Lane, Moor Lane & Duckers Lane, Hawarden
Why this petition matters

Rake Lane, Moor Lane & Duckers Lane are all single track lanes in Hawarden, Flintshire, which both currently have a National Speed Limit of 60mph.
This is in spite of the fact that at no point on these lanes is it safe to drive at 60mph.
There have been numerous incidents of cars ending up in ditches, near misses, or drivers being run off the road by speeding vehicles on the lanes.
Residents are concerned about safety and believe that these lanes are an accident waiting to happen.
The speed at which vehicles use the lane is posing a danger to residents living on the lane, safe drivers, pedestrians, children, pets, farm workers, horses and their riders.
Moor Lane currently has a restriction on heavy goods vehicles (HGVs), but Rake Lane does not.
We ask Flintshire County Council to reduce the speed limit on Rake Lane, Moor Lane & Duckers Lane, and to introduce a restriction on HGVs in Rake Lane in order to make the lanes safer for residents and road users.
