Chemicals from major companies are the main cause in the majority of air pollution in Georgia. There are many corporations whose drainage pipes dump waste into streams and rivers and the waste contaminates the water and pollutes the air. Companies such as Peabody Energy, Kuwait Petroleum Corp, ConocoPhillips, Chevron, Boeing contribute the most to air pollution. Peabody Energy for instance is responsible for almost 1 percent (0.86%) of all greenhouse gases contributed by humans since the industrial revolution. Harmful substances like these  increase the risk of respiratory infections, heart disease, stroke, and lung cancer, and more severely affects people who are already ill. Sign our petition to get these companies to reduce if not stop these terrible acts to the environment.
