Reduce Fuel Duty and VAT on Petrol and Diesel.

Reduce Fuel Duty and VAT on Petrol and Diesel.
With home fuel prices set to increase and the price of fuel increasing on the forecourts, many households across the country are starting to struggle to make ends meet. And with price rises across the board as a result of high inflation, that number will soon rise.
This will start to force households to balance between heating their homes, putting food on the table or ensuring they have enough funds to put fuel in the car for work. Less people working, more people claiming. The poverty line for many is getting lower.
Fuel Excise Duty (FED) is 57.95 p/litre for Petrol and Diesel.
Value Added Tax is between 20-25 p/litre depending on forecourt price.
We would like, no, we need to see a reduction in FED and VAT on fuel to bring the prices of fuel down on the forecourts. This is not a desire, at this stage, it is a necessity for millions of households. Allowing people to fuel their vehicle to get to work and put food on the table and heat their home.
