Food Waste is a big problem in America. According to the NRDC, 40% of the food we grow and buy is disposed of. This needs to change immediately. Composting options are not available to many Americans, so food waste gets sent to land fills where it is then incinerated, further emitting greenhouse gasses into the atmosphere, further contributing to climate change. Many people in the U.S are able to throw out food abundantly while many people in America and around the world are not able to easily put food on the table.
