Since its inception, Star Trek: The Next Generation has been a show about philosophy, discovery, complex moral dilemmas and nuanced conflicts.
It was a show written, by people who've read classical and sci-fi literature and had a remarkable gift in writing characters and dialogue.
Similar to Mr. Plinkett's dissapointment of the series, if one reads forums on the internet, almost Star Trek: TNG ALL fans share the same utter resentment for the convuluted and nonsencical lack of coherence and lack of sense within the story that mr Plinkett does. Star Trek was NEVER supposed to be a depressing action flick.
We desire to see well-written series that continues the intellectual qualities of Star Trek: The Next Generation. We can all agree that Picard does NOT feel at all as an intellectual Star Trek: Show. Therefore, we would like to see the RedLetterMedia ideas, taken into consideration by the original writers of TNG or someone who understands Trek lore, like RedLetterMedia does.
Here is a link to Plinkett's utterly honest review with which almost ALL TNG fans agree with: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xe1hKZjCVyM
