Adapt sky-diving activity

In the last two years, the flightpath of the sky-diving aircraft which operates out of Redlands airfield, near Wanborough, a particularly noisy aeroplane, has moved over our houses, gardens and glorious countryside almost every weekend (often including Fridays) between March and November as well as frequently during the winter.
At the time the original planning application was made to operate these flights, those who were going to be most affected by the noise of the aeroplane around Wanborough itself were consulted in a public meeting as part of the planning application process. A vote was held at the meeting and the majority were in favour of the application which was subsequently passed by Swindon Borough Council.
The area now affected by the noise of this aircraft has shifted markedly since that original planning approval was granted. Those residents now affected were never part of the original consultation process and it can only be right that our views are now listened to and acted upon.
With sufficient numbers of residents registering their concern over the effects of the noise of this aeroplane, we believe we can justifiably request Swindon Borough Council, local politicians, the government and the Civil Aviation Authority to take appropriate action.
We are not against private aircraft flying in the skies above us nor are we against those who get their thrills from sky-diving enjoying their sport. All we are seeking is that the operators of the skydiving aircraft respect local residents and our environment and vary the flight path as other parachuting organisations do.
