Residents on Streamview Dr in San Diego between 6060 - 6070, 92115 zip code have been victims of 8 major car collision mostly in part due to the horrific design construction  sign confusion and lack of speed monitoring of a residential traffic circle installed in 2016 view https://www.nbcsandiego.com/videos/san-diego-oak-park-residents-at-odds-over-whether-roundabouts-made-street-more-dangerous/2992713/. We live now in constant fear after 8 such accidents in 18 months that #9 someone will be killed.

WE our  community want the City of San Diego and 4th District Community Council to make this a priority and make immediate modification. In addition to delay the installation of 4 more of these roundabouts on the same street until we know that the design is safe for the community and the public . 1 more according to City Hall is due to be installed in November of this year 2022 and ( after the fact) community hearings will be conducted to hear our concerns. A viewing the mass media coverage speaks a thousand words. 

Our neighbors are holding meetings to present options and possible redesign solutions for the roundabouts , signage, lighting ,reducing the speed and a PSA campaign on traffic circles and bike lane proper usage. The city has an obligation to educate the people on how to properly used them based upon designs for residential areas. This is very foreign to us!  How to use them?  We don't want to fight we want to be heard , get results , a can do attitude and sleep at night knowing that we have effective city leadership with the people they serve in their best interest.
