Build a playground in Monkhams

0 have signed. Let’s get to 1,500!

We need a  children’s Natural Wooden play area on the Green in Monkhams, Woodford Wells.

There are no playgrounds in Monkhams compared with 0.44 playgrounds per 1000 children for the rest of Redbridge and 0.26 playgrounds per 1000 children Snaresbrook and Wanstead.

Playgrounds help encourage children's cognitive, physical, emotional and social development and also their families. For this reason children in the areas surrounding Monkhams area in Woodford Green, should have access to nearby, quality Natural Wooden playground with structures for both toddlers and older children.

There are seven primary/preparatory schools in the vicinity of the Green, and also several children’s playgroups at local churches , but there are no outdoor play area for the children.

We would like to petition the London Borough of Redbridge to allocate funding for the building, inspection, maintenance and cleansing of the playground. And we petition the London Borough of Redbridge to co-operate with the Corporation of the City of London so we can have a playground on the Green.
