On Thursday, September 2, 2021 the Red Lion Area School Board voted to require masks for all students and faculty in attendance at any Red Lion Area School District (RLASD) facility. This decision was made, and announced, before the School Board had even heard from the very people whom they represent. This petition serves as a call to the School Board of the Red Lion Area School District to hear the voices of the parents, students and faculty they were elected to represent. 
We, the undersigned residents of the RLASD, call upon the elected School Board members to remove any, and all, masking mandates and/or requirements effective immediately. We call upon the School Board to serve as the beacon for change within our community and beyond by standing up for those whom you have sworn to represent. Do not let the freedoms and rights that so many have fought for be ripped away from your constituents. We are calling upon this School Board to fight for us, and with us against these draconian measures. 
Since your decision was announced you have heard many arguments regarding the effects of masking our children. This call provides you, the School Board, the opportunity to change course and right this wrong. Do not make our children fight back against these measures alone. Unmask our students!
