Hello Bowmore Community!

Have you noticed that cars tend to run through the red light at the intersection of Gerrard St. E and Bowmore Rd?

Are you concerned for your fellow community members?

Do you have a child in this neighbourhood that you would like to protect?

I would like to invite you to join me in calling for a red light camera at the intersection of Bowmore Rd and Gerrard St. I have spoken to the City department of Traffic Management, but they have informed me there is not enough traffic to have a red light camera here.

I have also asked for the Toronto Police to pay special attention to our intersection, but they cannot be there all the time to help us with this issue. 

I was advised to petition my City Councillor and so here I am. 

I am greatly concerned about the number of cars I see running through the intersection on a red light. I am especially concerned since the addition of the advanced pedestrian signal. My greatest fear is that a child will start to cross the road when they see the "walk" signal and a car will go through the red light. 

I appreciate your help with this issue, every signature helps us keep our neighbourhood safe! The petition will be send to City officials, including Brad Bradford. 

Please help me in protecting the community here but most importantly the children of the Upper Beaches!
