Recording UEA Lectures

Recording UEA Lectures
Why this petition matters
Many students find it challenging to attend all lectures set on their timetables.
By UEA not recording these sessions they are excluding students who cannot make these lectures because of medical or financial hardship.
Being neurodivergent myself, I find it incredibly difficult to take in auditory information and going over these recorded lectures is incredibly helpful.
I have spoke to many other students who feel the same way and I plan to address the university with this petition to encourage them to start recording these sessions once more.
Personally, I have to work to be able to afford to stay at university and I had emailed a lecturer to say that I really wanted to get the best grade possible this year. Unfortunately, due to financial circumstances I have work that overlaps by an hour on one of my lectures, I asked if it was possible to record this session and I was advised to “organise my work around my studies and not the other way round”.
I feel there should be options for students with different learning styles, disabilities, and those who are struggling financially.
Please sign this petition even if you don’t use the recorded sessions as it helps students like myself who are struggling.
