- Russian President Vladimir Putin announced annexation of Southern and Eastern Ukraine, citing association of some of those areas with Russia over a century ago. That affirms Russia's acceptance of cherry-picked historical evidence as grounds for annexation.
- Much of present Russia, including Southern Russia and Southern Siberia, were provinces of Golden Horde, a part of Mongolian Empire.
- Given that Russia has become a willing participant of annexations based on centuries old history, we proposed that Mongolia should annex the parts of Russia that were known in 13th Century as Golden Horde.
- The areas of Russia that should be turned to Mongolia include Volga river basin, North Caucasus, Southern Ural Region, and Southern part of Siberia.
