Reclaim Government Schools in Rajasthan, India

The Vasundhara Raje government cleared the Policy for Public Private Partnership (PPP) in School Education, paving way for government schools to operate on PPP model. The state government has been working on introducing PPP model in the education sector since 2015, claiming this would improve the quality of education in the non-performing government schools. Raje government has cleared the policy without putting it up for a public review.
In its first phase and on a pilot basis, 300 in the rural areas would be put up to be run on PPP mode. These are among the 9895 secondary and higher secondary government schools across the state. 75% of the schools in the rural areas and 25% in the towns would be handed over to the private players. The government teachers and non-teaching staff presently working at these schools would be accommodated at other schools. Government of Rajasthan is going to close 300 government schools in Rajasthan and is going to handover tham to Private NGOs. We know that education is most important for every human being. This decision is harmful for the socioally and economically backward class of people like SC/ST, OBC and Girls. I wonder that girls are not having access to school when education is free. How can they receive education when it will get privatized?
