Kirk Twigg misused his office in an attempt to unilaterally terminate the Spotsylvania Superintendent. In doing so, he violated Articles 6, 8, and 12 of the School Board Code of Ethics (a document of which he is a signee). In light of this controversy, as well as his past policy suggestions (including the burning of books), the constituents of Spotsylvania County can no longer allow him to hold public office under good faith. Virginia is a state that allows for a recall election of School Board officials, provided that an initial petition collects the signatures of 10% of registered voters in the area.
