The Supreme Court of the United States is the most conservative it has been in living memory.  It no longer reflects the will of the people, rather, it represents the interests of a minority of Americans.  The President and Congress must act now to rebalance the Supreme Court by adding justices.

Decades of strategy have given the GOP and far-right conservatives, a minority political group, an outsized voice in the highest court in the land. Recently we have seen tactics like Republican Mitch McConnell barring a sitting president from lawfully appointing a justice in order to keep the seat empty until a right-leaning candidate could be appointed.  Hypocritically, McConnell allowed obviously partisan justices to be hastily appointed, moving the court further to the right.

The recent rulings by these justices, like Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization, Sackett v. Environmental Protection Agency, Oklahoma v. Castro-Huerta, New York State Rifle & Pistol Association v. Bruen will bring devastating setbacks to human rights in this country. These conservative Justices have proven their collective bias and will only continue to use their majority on the court rule against the interests of the common people. 

The GOP has hijacked the court but Democrats still have the power to shape a court that reflects the diversity of all Americans.

I implore the President and Congress to add seats to the Supreme Court now to restore balance and integrity to the Judicial Branch, and to our country.
