Reassign Amb. JP Moto to another Uganda High Commission or Diplomatic Mission

Reassign Amb. JP Moto to another Uganda High Commission or Diplomatic Mission
Why this petition matters
The Uganda High Commissioner, HE Julius Peter Moto was posted to serve in the UK and Ireland in 2017 until March 2021. During his tenure in office, he anchored several development initiatives, mobilized the various diaspora communities to a collective development agenda.
Several diaspora members echoed a unified message that only until the period during Amb. JP Moto’s time in office have they felt closer to the Uganda High Commission office, Trafalgar Square. For the first time in the history of the Uganda High Commissioners in the UK, the intercommunity (different ethnic groups from Uganda, Business community and NGOs) came together and organized one of the most emotional and passionate farewell parties for an outgoing High Commissioner.
The farewell party took place in London on the 19th of March 2022. The various cultural, religious, business and NGO groups in attendance, registered their appreciation to HE JP Moto for the wonderful job done during his tenure. He served us with humility and diligence, opened the doors to the Uganda House to all, and as a result, he was unanimously crowned, “The Peoples Ambassador” on that day.
We would like to thank HE Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, the President of the Republic of Uganda for giving JP Moto an opportunity to serve in the UK and Ireland.
Please help by signing this petition calling upon President Museveni to use his powers to consider reassigning JP Moto to another Uganda High Commission or Diplomatic Mission while leaving room for a future return to serve in the UK and Ireland.
