Every year, Real Producers magazine of Charleston publishes their “40 Under 40”. Since this started, many agents, myself included, have been ineligible to receive this prestigious title.  Because of this, I am proposing a 40 OVER 40 issue.  Just because we are older doesn’t mean we don’t work as hard.  In fact, at our age we work even harder to keep up because our energy levels are lower, work smarter because we run the risk of throwing our back out just getting out of bed, and quicker because our bedtimes get earlier and earlier.  

In real estate, fair housing laws state we are not allowed to discriminate based on age.   Where are the fair publishing laws that protect us from being discriminated against in magazines such as Real Producers?  

I am calling upon all Realtors, friends and family to make this happen.  We deserve our due credit for the work we put in for our clients and this industry.  Please sign this petition so that our voice can be heard…and we need to speak loudly because most of us are losing our hearing!
