This petition is to eliminate or amend The City of Readlyn's Chapter 78 UTV Ordinance which requires UTV owners to purchase an annual pass (3-year) to allow UTV riders to ride within city limits. UTV riders already pay county registration fees and are allowed into many towns without additional fees. Small town business is struggling as it is so why charge a fee to visit a community just because you're driving a UTV? The most favored resolution would be to eliminate the UTV pass all together so UTV riders could visit family, friends and local business' within the city limits with no additional fees or boundaries. The minimum request would be to designate a UTV route to allow riders to patronize local business'.
